Color Series: “A Study in Pink”

One of my primary goals with this blog is to highlight the presence of good design in every day life. I strongly believe that one of the best sources of every day design is colors. Colors impact many aspects of life. They can influence perceptions and affect mood. Each color even has a symbolic meaning.

This time of year, there is something very special about the color pink. Pink symbolizes peace and calm, as well as love and romance. During springtime, this lovely color is featured prominently in the flowers dotting the landscape. It’s only fitting that after the intensity of rain and storms, the landscape is greeted by the calming pink tone.

This post was written in response to The Daily Post’s prompt, Pink.

    1. Definitely! I also love the way that the symbolism of different colors is used in movies and tv shows to establish a certain mood, help with characterization, or foreshadow events. There are endless possibilities!
